{Baking Babe}

I LOVE baking with the kids. Especially when it's cold outside. Hazel and I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies while Lincoln was at school. She did all the pouring and loved it! Most of it ended up on my floor, but the cookies still turned out delicious. They were just short a cup of chocolate chips.  Unfortunately,  I cannot blame that on Hazel, chocolate is my weakness.
PS. I envy the people who are able to keep their kitchen clean during the cooking/baking process. I am not one of them.
PSS I feel like I never get Lincoln not the blog. He despises getting his picture taken! I'm hoping this phase of his will pass soon, he is too darn cute to not get his picture taken!

Notice half the bag of chocolate chips missing before we even added them! EEK!
Blurry picture, but I love her little flour covered hands.

Lincoln is on day two of pink eye and we cannot leave the house until he has been on his meds for 24 hours. Ugh... Hoping it does not spread to the rest of us! In the meantime, Hazel has spent the whole morning listening to"Happy" by Pharrell and dancing. She insisted wearing a "ballerina dress." I cannot get over how girly, but tomboy she is. She goes from  walking around in heels and a tutu to having sword "fight outs" with Lincoln in a matter of minutes. She throws HUGE temper tantrums if Lincoln is wearing his Batman shirt and she is not wearing hers. Not to add, she can name every single Skylander he owns. (which is like 20) If only I could take that memorization towards something more productive.

Almost a year later and I'm finally getting around to blogging about our family pictures... I figured I better get a post done before we become a family of FIVE.

Last summer, when I discovered I was pregnant I knew we had to have some family pics taken. We had not had any since Hazel was born and I figured I better document our life as a family of four. I'm so lucky to have such a talented and awesome sister,who happens to be a pro photographer, who was so kind to take some for us.
There was this BEAUTIFUL field full of sunflowers, and I waited just a couple days too late for pics. The sun burnt those poor babies up in like one day. We still managed to find a couple of good spots.  It was kind of last minute idea, so I ended up throwing together some quick outfits, but I knew I needed to make matching mother and daughter flower crowns- they were a must! And let me tell you, I have never been called a hippie so much after these pictures.
 Hazel definitely ended up being the star during our session. She stood for the first time ever all by herself. She was just like "What's up, I'm going to stand now."  The rest of us were kind of a hot mess. We could hardly get Lincoln to stand still or look at the camera. Nate just got his braces off and had no idea how to smile and I felt sooo pregnant bloated. I felt like I was in that weird "is she pregnant, or just put on a little weight" stage. I really thought I was having twins. But, of course my sister did a great job and we LOVE them.
